The Great Meso-American Reef is the second largest barrier reef. It spans 700 miles, from Cancun in the north to the Bay Islands of Honduras in the south. Here in Cozumel, the reef is protected by the “Parque Marine Arrecifes de Cozumel.” The reef is home to hundreds of Coral species, 350 species of Mollusks, more than 500 fish species and various Turtles, Sharks and cephalopods. The reefs are healthy, and divers love easy drift dives! diving here is truly world-class with towering coral formations, plunging walls and thrilling drifts! But you already know this!!

Blue Magic Scuba is a vertically integrated PADI Five-Star IDC Center, a thriving DiveMaster Internship program as well as a 32-bed hostel that funnels many divers and students to our dive center. The Blue Magic Building***, located in the heart of downtown Cozumel, just two blocks from the ferry pier and the main square. The dive center is fully stocked and equipped. With three fully stocked classrooms, including the best IDC classroom in the Riviera Maya, a large, ventilated gear room, rinse facilities, a repair bench, showers and a full 1-bedroom apartment (as a rental or for a manager). Blue Magic Scuba has 35 full sets of gear: Cressi integrated BCDs, ScubaPro and Cressi regulators, a full selection of fins, masks and wetsuits. Complete educational materials and training aids.
Our fleet of four boats are fast, clean, comfortable and all four are in great condition, extremely well maintained and fully equipped to deliver the best dive experience on the island. All are licensed, insured and permitted. Our boats have 28 Marine Park permits as well as 10 permits for the Northern Protected Areas (something very few dive centers have). All our boats are moored at the new Marina Fonatur in assigned, permanent places. Two Nissan Frontier Pick-up trucks, and everything that you need to run one of the most successful Dive Centers on the island.
In addition to daily dive trips, Blue Magic Scuba is one of, if not the most successful training center in Cozumel. We teach all PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) to Open Water Diver and beyond. GoPro Blue Magic is our Professional Dive Training arm, here we train certified divers to become the best Divemasters and Instructors. Blue Magic is the only Cozumel Divemaster Internship program from a real, brick and mortar center with real students and real divers and real boats. Last year Blue Magic Scuba issued over 450 certifications, including 66 professional ones.
Our DMT’s and IDC candidates are provided semi-private accommodation at our Blue Magic Hostel, separate from hostel guests. Located just short four blocks from the dive center, Blue Magic Hostel houses our DMTs and IDC candidates, many (mostly young) divers and students, as well as, of course, other travelers. our “Dive with us and Sleep for Free” has proven itself as a fantastic way to funnel students and divers to the Dive Center. Blue Magic Hostel has four separate dorms plus one private suite for a capacity of 32 guests, in addition to the four semi-private bedrooms with en-suite bath reserved for our GoPros! The Hostel has a large garden, a small pool and a large common area under one of Cozumel’s nicest and largest Palapas.

The Blue Magic Building
Blue Magic Scuba is one of Cozumel’s best, and best known Dive Centers. After more than a dozen years of building and promoting the Blue Magic brand, it has come time to move on. In addition to the sale of the Blue Magic Scuba Dive Center, the real estate and building itself is also available for purchase.
