If you would like to save time while here in Cozumel, it is possible to complete all of the theoretical classroom studies at home, on-line, to your own schedule and at your leisure. This will make your course here so easy, typically three days having nothing but fun. This will leave you the rest of the days to enjoy all that Cozumel has to offer. About Open Water Course
Blue Magic’s PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills (Pool, or shallow, calm waters with pool like condition)
- Four Open Water Dives to practice your skills and explore! The last two dives will be from one of our boats into Cozumel’s famous National Marine Park.
You may be able to get college credit for the Open Water Diver course.

In Blue Magic Scuba’s PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, all of which is provided for you at no additional cost including:
- mask,
- snorkel,
- fins,
- regulator,
- buoyancy control device
- tank.
We also provide a short or full 3mm wetsuit.
