Fine Print

For single day divers, a deposit of 50% per person minimum is required to secure your reservation.

For multi-day packages, a deposit of 25% or a $100 minimum is required to secure your reservations.

All divers are required to complete an online reservation form found on our website on the reservations page at

When your reservation form is received, you will be notified via email with a confirmation and an estimate of your total costs to dive with us. We will also ask for a deposit at this time. Without a deposit, we cannot guarantee your reservation.

Deposits can be made via PayPal by clicking the PayPal link on our home page or at the bottom of the reservations page. You can use all major credit cards to pay through PayPal.

All packages with Blue Magic Scuba include:

  • 80 cubic foot aluminum tanks, weights and belts, bottled water, fruit, and dry towels.
  • In-water divemaster(s).
  • Valet gear service which includes rinsing and storage each day for those diving for 3 or more days with us.
  • Computer diving (bottom times are based on individual air consumption and computer allowances).
  • Fast boats, with no more than 6 or 8 divers per boat.
    Group diving available upon request.
  • All boats are equipped with sun canopies for shade, first aid kits, marine radios, and oxygen.

Nitrox (EAN 32 or 36) is available for $12 per tank

100 cubic foot tanks are available at $8 per tank.

Check-In Requirements/Procedures

We request that you check in with us no later than the evening prior to your first dive. If your arrival in Cozumel is delayed please contact us and we will be happy to make other arrangements.

Guests arriving by cruise ship or from the mainland will be given meeting instructions.

At check-in, you will need to bring your certification card and final payment for your scheduled dives.

Payment of Final Balance

Final balance is due at check-in for all reserved and confirmed dives. The following payment methods are accepted:

We prefer United States dollars or Mexican Pesos (Pesos will be charged at the current exchange rate).  All prices quoted are cash prices.

Master Card/Visa/Discover Cards - This payment method is offered as a convenience however, we must charge you local taxes and fees.

Dive Insurance

We recommend scuba diving insurance such as Divers Alert Network (DAN) You should purchase this before your arrival in Cozumel.

Cancellation Policy

Final payment for dives scheduled is due upon check-in at the dive shop. We accept Cash, Traveler’s checks, Visa, and MasterCard. 

If Individual divers need to cancel:

  • A full refund of your deposit (less a 5% service fee) will be made for cancellations received 30 days prior to arrival.
  • If cancellation is received 29 days or less prior to arrival then no refund of your deposit will be made.

If groups of divers (4 or more), or full boat bookings (6 divers or more), or private boat bookings need to cancel

  • A full refund (less 5% service fee) will be made for cancellations received 45 days prior to arrival
  • If cancellation is received 30-44 days prior to arrival then we will refund 50% of your deposit.
  • If cancellation is received 29 days or less prior to arrival then no no refund of your deposit will be made.

Canceling Individual Dives while on Cozumel

All cancellations must be received no later than 5:00 pm on the day before your scheduled dive by calling us.  Any cancellations made after 5:00 pm the day before the scheduled dive are not eligible for a refund. If you are traveling by cruise ship and you cannot make it into port, you will receive a full refund.

Changes to your confirmed schedule can only be accommodated provided that your space can be filled and we have availability on the day you wish to reschedule.

We are not responsible for any dives cancelled by the customer (illness, seasickness, inability to equalize, ear problems, hangovers, etc.)

If any dives are cancelled due to weather conditions and/or port closure by the Harbor Master, we will offer to reschedule your missed dives (based on availability), issue a dive credit for your next visit, or issue a full refund for missed dives due to weather.
